July 30th--my actual birthday!

On my actual birthday, I went to Toys R Us for my birthday club fun. I got a tiara, balloon, and everyone said "Happy Birthday!" (I also go a Sleeping Beauty Bath doll out of the deal). Then we went to Chuck E. Cheese for pizza and games, and then home for my second birthday cake of the week!

Happy Princess Birthday to Me!

Today was my 3rd birthday party. I chose princess as my theme and pink as my color. As a budding Martha Stewart, I directed my mom to buy pink forks and spoons, and napkins, cups, and plates with Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty on them. I also had a princess cake with a light up Cinderella. I said the party was "perfect" when I saw all the decorations. I got plenty of great gifts and had fun playing games, getting my face painted, and decorating cookie wands with my friends.

Abbey wants to adopt a family of worms

When we planted roses and azaleas in the spring, Abbey found worms in the flower beds and has been fascinated ever since. Tonight she shared her plans for raising a worm family in a pink jar in her pink bedroom (she's into pink right now).

Abbey & Hope

This is Abbey and her cousin, Hope, playing in Abbey's recently redecorated room. Abbey went from a yellow room and crib to a big girl pink princess room with a Cinderella carriage bed!

4th of July

We went to a festival and then Chateau Elan for fireworks. After eating cotton candy, chips, cupcakes, snow cones, hot dogs, and nerds (candy) we reclined on a blanket and watched the fireworks with Abbey yelling "KABOOM" when they went off.

Gymnastics

Abbey started gymnastics earlier this year and she loves tumbling, using the bars and trampoline, but her favorites are the pit (a in ground swimming pool filled with foam blocks) and the balance beam (she's getting one for her birthday!). Here is a picture of Abbey and her cousin, Hope, with their "Great Gymnast" ribbons. In the video you see Abbey in action and finishing with her well executed "Ta-Da!"

Princess Ballerina

Abbey loves to dance! She started ballet and tap this month and loves it. Abbey can go an entire hour of dance class and the teacher never once has to say "Abbey, no!" "Abbey come back here."
